Betty
Betty
Created in April 2022, this artwork marked the beginning of my journey as an artist. Inspired by Earth Day and a desire to be more mindful of waste, I gathered a stack of old magazines that would have otherwise been discarded and transformed them into something new. Every part of Betty Boop is built entirely from hand-cut paper scraps, carefully selected for color and placed piece by piece to create a full-color illustration. What began as an experiment in sustainability became the foundation for the collage practice I continue today.
