This piece started as a way for me to step aside from some other works I was creating. I imagined it as a cut slab of a wall—perhaps from a business—that had been defaced and later painted over, whether with graffiti or a mural. My intention was to frame that kind of surface in a way that reveals its beauty, and I really love how it turned out.
