This candle marks a shift in my practice toward a more unified visual language—one rooted in devotion, collage, and the elevation of cultural icons into personal saints.
In Saint Dolly, I honor Dolly Parton as a manifestation of divine feminine energy: generous, radiant, and endlessly giving. Her voice, her humor, her radical kindness, and her refusal to diminish herself have blessed us for decades. This candle is not about worship in a religious sense, but reverence—recognizing the sacredness in a woman who has transformed talent into grace, glamour into generosity, and visibility into care for others.
Framed like a devotional icon, Dolly appears haloed and beatified, surrounded by classical imagery that collapses the line between the holy and the pop-cultural. The result is both sincere and playful, holding space for admiration, gratitude, and a little joy.
