A contemporary reinterpretation of Manet’s Le Déjeuner sur l’herbe, this digital collage challenges traditional ideas of nudity and visibility in art. By replacing the original female figure with gay adult film actors, Lunch on the Grass centers queer bodies and pleasure—questioning whose image is considered acceptable, desirable, or worthy of art history.
