The project had a clear aim: crafting two captivating collage illustrations for Cosmopolitan's Zara column, where the spotlight shines on the dynamic character, Zara. Zara’s journey unfolds against the backdrop of the bustling city, as she navigates the world of dating and urban life. In this specific article, Zara takes a plunge by rekindling things with an ex-partner, only to be met with an unexpected twist – her ex’s newfound aspiration to become a monk. This leaves Zara grappling with feelings of inadequacy. To bring this emotional rollercoaster to life, I skillfully embedded Easter eggs into the background of the illustrations, each hinting at a different facet of her experience.
