Bloom examines the relationship between intimacy and fragmentation through the juxtaposition of archival homoerotic imagery and floral still-life compositions. The work is assembled through a grid-like structure of cut paper fragments that simultaneously construct and disrupt the figures, creating moments of revelation and obscurity.

The floral imagery functions as both ornament and metaphor, referencing growth, desire, mortality, and renewal. By placing the body within a dense botanical environment, the work challenges traditional distinctions between strength and vulnerability, while celebrating queer presence through acts of visibility and concealment. The fragmented composition reflects the process of identity formation—an accumulation of memories, histories, and experiences that are never fully fixed, but continually unfolding.
